Nikon Full-frame Mirrorless Cameras
Nikon has launched two cameras in its new full frame mirrorless camera range: the Z6 and Z7. Both cameras have a rugged magnesium alloy body, an Expeed 6 image processor, 5-axis image stabilisation, a 3.2-inch tilting touchscreen display, electronic viewfinder, 4k video recording and battery life of up to 330 shots. The Z6 has a 25MP sensor, ISO up to 2,04,800, 273 focus points and 12 fps continuous drive speed. Nikon Z7 features a 46MP sensor, ISO up to 1,02,400, 493 focus points and a 9fps shoot speed. The cameras use XQD cards for storage, have USB 3.1 wired connectivity with USB charging support, micro HDMI, microphone port, headphone port and WiFi ac plus Bluetooth wireless connectivity. The Z7 will be available from the end of September 2018 while the Z6 will arrive in November 2018.
Jivi Xtreme Series
Jivi, a brand known for feature phones, has jumped in to the smartphone fray. They have launched three smartphones under the Xtreme Series: Xtreme Klick, Xtreme View and Xtreme View Pro. All phones have 5.3-inch (18:9 aspect ratio) displays, 5MP front cameras, dual SIM slots, expandable storage, rear fingerprint scanner (except Xtreme Klick), face unlock and 4G with VoLTE. They’re also all powered by Android Go. Xtreme Klick and Xtreme View have 1GB RAM and 8GB storage while Xtreme View Pro has 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Xtreme Klick features a 2,500mAh battery whereas Xtreme View and Xtreme View Pro have a larger 2,700mAh battery.
Fujifilm X-T3
This is the world’s first APS-C mirrorless camera that can do 4K video in 60P at 10 bit recording. The X-T3 comes with Fujifilm’s new 26MP CMOS 4 X-Trans sensor and a new X-Processor 4 image processing engine which they claim is 3 times faster than any other X-series camera. The camera has a weather sealed body with analog dials, OLED viewfinder and a 3-inch tilting touch-screen. Other specifications include ISO 51,200, 425 focus points and 20fps continuous drive speed. The camera has USB 3.0 wired connectivity, USB charging, micro HDMI microphone and headphone port plus built-in WiFi and Bluetooth. Fujifilm says the battery gives up to 390 shots on a full charge.
