TRAVEL SUMMER SPECIAL..... EASY COME, EASY GO

EASY COME, EASY GO

Seven tips that will ensure that your summer break abroad is stress-free

Travel light but take essentials
This sounds logical, but sometimes people make the mistake of pack ing a lot of things “just in case“. If you travel a lot you have noticed that you don't use all things that you put in your bag but you carry the weight. Instead, travel with a smaller bag that you can carry with you. Also, in this day and age, never travel without a converter. Different countries have different electrical sockets and voltages, making these devices key in keeping your gadgets fully charged.

Make sleep a priority
Travelling across multiple time zones without enough time to sleep is not only a bad idea, but it can also disturb your body and mind harmony.Get enough hours of sleep whenever you can. Carry an eye mask. Use an app called Jetlag Rooster, which can help you with adjusting to a new time zone. Not taking sleep seriously wi l l make you feel like you are in another dimension.
Be prepared to eat everything and be sick
The reality is that sometimes you will like the food, and sometimes you won't. Consider food as part of the adventure.
No matter where you are, eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Do not forget to drink enough water. Looking at the positive side, if you don't like the food, you will at least lose some weight during your trip.

Work as a team
Unless you are travelling solo, it is always a good idea to divide tasks between you and your travel partners, as it will save you time and money. Some couples like to discuss everything and decide everything together. Some people are good at looking for the best flight and hotel deals while others prefer to deal with the logistics of dining, transportation, and things to do wherever they are. V Be ready for the weather
Unless you are travelling exclusively to an exotic beach, be prepared for all kinds of weather. If you are London bound, for instance, a jacket and a small umbrella are sure to come in handy. A nother must-carry is a sun protector and a hat. Protecting your skin is essential especially when you are planning several walking tours.

Use public transportation
Big cities usually have good public transportation systems. Take advantage of this and use the metro or bus anytime you can, which will save you time and money. You should use apps like Citymapper, which has information on public transit in major cities of the world. Also, wear comfortable shoes to walk long distances, as your feet will appreciate it later at night.

Be open-minded and show respect
Depending on which country you travel to, some things will be different, and sometimes things will be awkward. The reality is that you should not have any expectations, which will help you avoid any potential disappointment. Rather, expect things to be completely different, and have fun in pointing out any similarities or pleasant surprises you may encounter throughout your trip. Bottom line, you are in other country, likely with a different culture and customs, so show respect and try to be nice .
