TRAVEL SPECIAL.... Top Getaways to Just Chill

Top Getaways to Just Chill

Opt for camping and resort stay with family amidst lush winter greens

PET-FRIENDLY GETAWAYS AHOY!
Region: Pavana Lakeside camping (Lonavla) and Alibaug’s eco-friendly beach spots (Maharashtra)
The nip in the air is fresh and exciting. Not only do we (the humans) love it but animals (our furry friends) enjoy it too. When the weather all around is cool, it is a good idea to take your pets along on picnics and camping trips by the lake or beach. We suggest you check out comfortable camping options as part of guided holidays where your pets are welcomed to partake in lake swimming, under supervision. At the outskirts of Mumbai, a quick drive away is Pavana Lake near Lonavla. Camping under the open skies has been steadily gaining popularity here. You could try it too.
Alibaug in Maharashtra is reachable by road and is also a ferry ride away from Gateway of India in Mumbai. Many holiday agencies post weekend ideas online for resort stay or camping amidst lush green surroundings where pets can join in the fun as well.
In the North, we suggest a drive to Mussoorie or Agra. You can pre-check with the resort about pet policies and then book. Homestay options are what most pet lovers swear by, as the home owner is eager to host and also makes arrangements for the pet to feel safe and happy with ample space for playtime.

DINE BY THE CHINESE FISHING NETS AND WITNESS THOUGHT INSPIRING ARTWORK AT KOCHI MUZIRIS BIENNALE
Region: Kerala
Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2018 is all set to host 95 art projects, majority of them by women. Kickstarting on December 12, the Biennale will also have ‘infraprojects’, a model that was non-existent in the previous three editions of this contemporary art event.
The Biennale’s infra-projects are novel assemblages of artworks put together by external curators within the framework and spirit of the Biennale.
Five such projects have been included in the Biennale by invitation of Anita Dube, the curator and artistic director of the festival. The series of events shall come to an end on March 29 next year in 2019.
The upcoming KMB has expanded the exhibition model to include an interactive Pavilion, which permits visitors to share and initiate dialogue, as a learning experiment.
