TIPS FOR BAKING A CAKE IN A MUG
Use
self-raising flour instead of all-purpose flour to get better results Mug cakes
need not be made only in a mug. You can use microwavable cook ware like jars, ceramic
glasses, paper cups, etc. to bake them Whisking it well is really important
since that gives you a cake that rises beautiful ly and has a great texture The
golden rule for mug cakes is not to fill the mug more than half its height to
avoid overflowing Use the largest mug you have at home but if you feel the
batter is for more than one mug, split it into two mugs but cook separately for
uniform heating Once done, mug cakes might deflate a bit but don't try to add
more batter the next time Remember that the time in the microwave may be
different from appli ance to appliance, so after checking once, if you feel the
cake is not ready, go on microwaving in bursts of 15 seconds Vegetarians can
substitute one egg with three tablespoons of yoghurt
