How to get your app up and running on the platform of your choice
AppMakr
The App Basics plan at Appmakr is $1 per month
(this price is valid when billed annually; i.e., $12 per year). If you choose
to bill monthly, the price goes up to $2 per month. This price gets you a native
Android app in the AppMakr Market (it will not be listed on the Google Play
Store). It also allows for unlimited users, unlimited updates, does not have
any ads, live stats (to track usage and users), email support and all
functions. The catch is that your app will have the AppMakr branding -to show
your users that it was created using AppMakr. If you prefer, you can choose to
built your app as an HTML 5 mobile site so that it will instantly be accessible
to thousands of HTML5 enabled smartphones (most new smartphones today).
AppsGeyser
AppsGeyser helps you create Android apps and
uses the shared revenue model. Essentially, it lets you create any existing web
content (hopefully, what you already own) into an app. It's free to get started
you start with one of the templates from different heads like web, business
(law firm, restaurant, store, business etc), media, game (simple games like tap
wars, blink, ragdoll) and so on. Next add you content and then publish. Each
app has a slot for a banner ad and if the app gains a certain amount of traction
(more than 100 installs) it becomes available. You need to register with any ad
network and get the banner code which can be inserted into the app. Note that
your ad will be displayed half of the time the other half, AppsGeyser will
display their own ad. They'll also help you if you want to create two versions:
an ad-free version to sell and an ad-supported version which will be free.
Mobincube
Mobincube offers a web-based dragdrop interface
for app creation. There's no limit to the type of app you can create:
catalogues, e-commerce, guides, portfolios and so on. Your app can include
static or dynamic content: RSS feeds, forms, maps, text, images, splashscreens
etc. They also offer multiple templates that you can use as a starting point.
The starter version is free and offers the ability to create unlimited apps (so
that you can hone your app making skills). Once you're done with creating your
app in Mobincube, you can choose to publish it on the Google Play Store, Amazon
App Store and so on. The developer and registration fees will still apply in
these cases though (see below for details).
Yapp
An app created using this platform will appear
inside the Yapp app, which is already available in the Google Play and Apple
App Store. This way, you get around paying the developer fees to Google and
Apple because it is Yapp that hosts your app and pays the developer fees. The
other advantage is that an app that you create will be available to download
within seconds of you publishing it. There is a core version which is free that
lets you make apps out of things that are important to you. For instance, if
you're planning a wedding, you can make an app to share with all your guests.
If you're travelling, you can make an app that updates them with latest photos

necessary changes to make sure it meets the various app store quality standards
and that it works well. In 3 to 5 days after submission, the app will be live
in Appsbar's own marketplace called Appcatch. You can then choose to publish
the app in other app markets (Google's Play store or Apple's App Store).
