GIZMO SPECIAL 7best phablets in the world today
If you think that one
device is better than two, then there is a growing number of phones to suit
your need and these are the seven best
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Samsung was one of the first
companies to jump on the phablet train and its most recent one, the Samsung
Galaxy Note 4, is not only one of Samsung's best phones but the best phablet
money can buy.
It is sharp, bright and vibrant. With
fairly pocketable 5.7-inch 14 4 0 x 2 5 6 0 S up er A MOL E D display, it is
the star of the show.Or maybe that honour should go to its slick p er for ma
nce, suppor ted by a 2.7GHz quadcore Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB RAM.
Again, its 16MP c a me r a w it h op t ic a l i m a g e stabilisation is also
impressive. It's big (but not too big), stylish and feature packed. If you've
got the money and want a big-screen phone, this is the one to go for.
iPhone 6 Plus
Can a phone with a 5.5-inch screen
really be considered a phablet?
Maybe not in the Android land, but for Apple, this is big, really big. The i Phone 6 Plus has a sharp 1080 x 1920 display and specs t hat pu nch wel l above their weight, with its optical image stabilisationequipped 8MP camera and its dual-core processor somehow delivering impossibly slick performance.Being an Apple device it also has a su mptuous desig n and build, with a slim metal shell leaving it as the best-looking phablet on the planet.

Google Nexus 6
The Nexus 6 is Google's first
phablet and it's a winner, with an enormous 5.96-inch QHD screen, a 2.7GHz
quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB RAM. Of course it also benefits from
being a stock Android device and first in line for new OS updates and even its
camera -traditionally a weak point on Nexus devices, is capable of taking
pretty stunning snaps. If there's a downside to all this, it's not the budget
bargain that many Nexus phones are.But it's hard to argue that it's not worth
every penny.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge
With its curved screen, it would be
easy to write the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge off as a gimmick, but that would be
a mistake. While the edge is hardly an essential feature it does add some handy
skills to the phone, such as the ability to exile video controls to the edge so
they're always visible without obstructing the display.
With heaps of power and a sharp QHD
screen, it has S Pen stylus, so you can write by hand and even sketch on your
phone. A slightly smaller battery and marginally poor performance are the only
things holding it back from the other top phablets.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3
The fau x-leather rea r of the
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is divisive at best, but with a power fu l 2.3GHz
quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM it's a high performing
handset. Its 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display is sharp and impressive. It's
also on the small side, at least as far as phablets go, which makes it easier
to hold than some competing devices, while the inclusion of a stylus makes it a
joy to use.
Huawei Ascend Mate 7
A long with Oppo, Huawei is a not
her relatively u n k now n name that's creeped into the list, but the Ascend
Mate 7 is worthy of attention. With a big 6.0-inch 1080p screen, aluminium
casing, good battery life, an octa-core pr o c e s s or, 3 GB R A M a nd a
fingerprint scanner, there's a lot to like here.
A 13MP camera and a microSD card
slot don't hurt either. The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 isn't quite the most powerful
phone around, but it doesn't feel lacking anything. So if you don't mind
skipping past the big brands, save yourself some money and go for it.
Nokia Lumia 1520
If you want a Windows Phone phablet,
your options are limited. So it's a good thing that Nokia delivered the Nokia
Lumia 1520.Its 6.0-inch 1080p IPS LCD display is a beast for media consumption,
whi le a 2 . 2 GH z quadcore Snapdragon 800 processor and 2 GB o f R A M en su
r e s s l ick performance. While it's made of plastic, it's slim and feels
solidly built. In typical Nokia fashion it also has an impressive 20MP camera
and has been upgraded to Windows Phone 8.1. Plus a Windows 10 Mobile update is
promised when available .
