HOME REMEDIES
Rosacea:
Face packs made of multani mitti
(fuller’s earth), neem and tulsi can help reduce the impact of Rosacea. Add one
cup of table vinegar to six cups of water and cleanse your face with it every
day or once-a-week. Applying soaked green tea may also help decrease the
redness and inflammation of the facial skin.
Pigmentation:
Stir the juice of half a lemon into
one cup of plain yoghurt. Keep it refrigerated and apply on the face at
bedtime. Give it five minutes to penetrate the skin. Apply a thin coat of
moisturiser over it, if needed. This will give you a smoother skin in three to
four weeks.
Fungal infections:
Apply vinegar or essential oils on
the areas prone to infections as a preventive and curative measure.
Prickly heat:
Apply soothing agents such as mild
calamine lotions and aloe vera on the affected areas to minimise discomfort.
Sun tan and skin darkening:
Ripe papayas and bananas contain
enzymes that reduce skin darkening pigments, resulting in accelerated tan
removal.
Eczema:
Apply coconut oil, chamomile tea and
butter on the skin. These work as good moisturising agents.
Cracked heels:
Applying radish pulp is considered a
quick fix for cracked heels. One could also apply wax and turmeric.
