Laptops are a necessity, both at home and at the workplace. Some users, like students, may not need a premium model and there are options enough for those restricted by a budget. Karan Bajaj checks out some of the best laptops available today for less than 35,000.

Up to 25,000

Lenovo Ideapad 330
While the Ideapad 330 comes in different configurations, this is the best possible option available in this price segment. The configuration available at this price include a 3.1Ghz AMD A9 processor combined with 4GB DDR4 RAM and 1TB hard-drive. You get a 15.6-inch display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels and anti-glare coating. It has a three-cell battery, 2 x USB ports, HDMI, Ethernet and card reader. It runs Windows 10 operating system and weighs 2.2 kg.

HP 15 also comes in various configurations. This one is powered by a 3Ghz AMD A9 APU processor with 4GB DDR4 RAM, AMD Radeon 520 2GB graphics and a 1TB hard-drive. W Weighing 2.1kg, the laptop features a 15.6-inch screen with 1,366 x 768 pixels resolution and dual speakers. It comes with Windows 10 OS and has 2 x USB 3 ports, 1 x USB 2.0 port, HDMI and card-reader. It has a 4-cell battery with support for fast charge.

Micromax Alpha
This is only if you want to get an Intel processor at any cost. The Alpha is powered by a 1.6Ghz 5th generation Intel Core i3 processor and comes with 6GB DDR3 RAM with 500GB hard-drive. It weighs 2.1kg and has a 15.6-inch display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It has 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 port, HDMI, Ethernet, microSD card speaker, dual speakers and a 1MP webcam. Micromax claims that the laptop can deliver up to 5 hours of battery backup.

25,000 - 35,000

Lenovo Ideapad 320
Even though this is an older model from Lenovo, it is still available for purchase. Weighing 2.2kg, the laptop offers a 14-inch screen with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. Specifications include Intel Core i3 6th gen, 4GB RAM, 1TB hard-drive and up to 5 hours of battery life. You get 1 x USB Type-C port, 2 x USB 3 ports, HDMI port, Ethernet and card-reader. Other features include Dolby audio, Windows 10 OS, WiFi ac connectivity and HD webcam.

Asus Vivobook X507
This is one of our favourite budget laptops of the year. Even though it weighs just 1.68kg, the laptop gives you a 15.6-inch display with full HD resolution and sleek bezels. Powered by 7th generation Intel Core i3 processor, the laptop has 4GB RAM and a 1TB harddrive. At this price, this is one of the only laptops to come with a fingerprint scanner for security. There is a USB 3.0 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 port and HDMI out. The laptop gives up to 6 hours of backup and has fast charge supportover 50% charge in just 45 minutes.

Dell New Inspiron 14 5480
If you want a lightweight laptop on a budget, this is recommended. The laptop weighs just 1.5kg and yet has a 14-inch anti-glare display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. It runs on an 8th generation Intel Core i3 processor with 4GB RAM and 1TB hard-drive. Moreover, it is also future ready with a USB Type-C port. You also get 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x USB 2.0 port, Ethernet, HDMI and card reader. There is a 3-cell battery and it comes with high speed WiFi ac connectivity.
