PERSONAL SPECIAL....... Be your problem solver

Be your problem solver

Do you think certain fears are holding you back from achieving greater goals in life? Here are five steps to help you overcome them
It is natural for every human to fear some or the other thing.
However, it can be a problem when your fears act as roadblocks in your success journey. Author and blogger Leo Babauta conducted a Twitter survey asking his followers what fear was holding them back, and the responses included: failure, abandonment, rejection, intimacy, success, poverty, and not being good enough.

According to Babauta, “Having the fear is natural, letting it stop you from going after your dreams is a tragedy.“ So, here are some tips on how to tackle your worst fears and chase your dreams:

1 Acknowledge your fear
The first step in solving any problem is acknowledging the existence of the problem. Many people fail to notice them. Since thinking about them or dealing with them can make you anxious and stressful, you might be ignoring them and pretending that they don't exist. Be honest with yourself and acknowledge the fear, because you might not be able to run away or get away with it every time.

2 Feel the fear
After acknowledging your fears, it is time to feel it. If you are embarrassed or uncomfortable in dealing with your fear, understand that you are not alone. All you need is a simple Google search to find many others who share the same. You don't have to be embarrassed. Remember that even the greatest men in history had to face their fears.

So, feel the fear, feel the physical sensation of it. Is your heart beat rising? Are your breaths getting deeper? Understand that you can control how you feel instead of being controlled by your fears.

3 Imagine the worst thing that can happen
What are your worst fears?
Not being successful? Not being good enough? Imagine the worst things that can hap the worst things that can happen to you. Robert Fulghum in his book Uhoh Some Observations From Both Sides Of The Refrigerator Door said, “If you break your neck, if you have nothing to eat, if your house is on fire -then you've got a problem. Everything else is an inconvenience.“ So, imagine the worst case scenarios and free yourself from being enslaved by fearful thoughts.

4 Prepare yourself
How are you going to face your fear? “When you're going to take on an adversary, you need to prepare yourself. You arm yourself, and have a battle plan, and train yourself,“ said Babauta.“If you want to be a musician but you fear failure, practice, practice, practice, then come up with a plan to succeed, then get all the skills and information you need to implement the plan, then practice some more.“

5 Stay in the moment
Are most of your fears related to your future? Don't get caught up worrying about what might or might not happen. The best thing to do is eliminate all thoughts of the future and the past and live in the present. Do something right now to beat your fears, to pursue your dreams, and forget about the future.
