Paradise on earth

Endowed with breathtaking natural vistas and awe-inspiring art, antique and architecture, Georgia offers a myriad of exotic travel experiences

Georgia is the land with a magnificent history and unparalleled natural beauty where archaeologists found the oldest traces of wine production that dates back to 8000 BC. From military conflicts to flourishing economic times, the country has always been a state that knows how to bounce back and make the most out of the circumstances it encounters.Filled with breathtaking natural vistas, aweinspiring art and antiques, and a vibrant music scene, the various regions in Georgia offer varied activities to a tourist. So whether it's taking advantage of the cheapest heli-skiing in Europe or touring some of the finest medieval architecture in the world, delving into ancient, subterranean cave cities, or relaxing at world-class beach resorts, Georgia has something to delight each visitor.
The country is perfect for hiking, trekking, and exploring at a leisurely pace. Quaint villages and towns still dot the countryside while modern cities like Tbilisi, Batumi, and Borjomi are highly captivating and photogenic. Georgia tourism is steadily emerging and it is still one of the last European wilderness where you can roam freely. You can also enjoy the authentic experiences, be it the local cuisine or interacting with the locals. The exquisite floura and fauna and numerous UNESCO heritage sites make Georgia a place with endless tourism possibilities.
Being a year-round destination, one can swim in the sea as late as November one of the longest swimming seasons in Europe or head to the mountains, where there is guaranteed snow until late April, making Georgia a top destination for skiers and snowboarders.
Its wonderful heritage of architecture and arts is owed to a deeply complicated history. But contrary to its historical background, this is one country which can equally boast of its journey to the 21st century. From cave cities to ancient cathedrals to the inimitable canvases of Pirosmani to spectacular contemporary buildings, a minimal crime rate and everimproving facilities; Georgia is a mixed bowl of different eras and is one of the most beautiful countries on earth.
Few countries embrace their national stereotypes as wholeheartedly as Georgia.Tbilisi, the capital, is still reminiscent of an age-old Eurasian crossroads but a new generation of artists and entrepreneurs is offering an alternative to the old ways with the opening of stylish restaurants, hotels, bars and galleries.
So, from its green valleys spread with vineyards to its old churches and watchtowers perched in fantastic mountain scenery, Georgia indeed is a marvellous canvas.
NATURE AT ITS BEST
Georgia is also home to vast expanses of completely unspoiled wildernesses, including one of Europe's largest national parks. Its pristine wetlands and mountain aeries make this country a Mecca for bird watchers worldwide. Bears, lynxes and even leopards can be found in Georgia's dense forests of Caucasian fir, the tallest trees in Europe.
