FROM MUMBAI: RAJMACHI, 76 KMS, 1 HR AND 45 MINUTES
    
Rajmachi is a picturesque location, ideal to explore with your friends or relax with family. You can visit the Kondhavi cave nearby. The ancient rock carvings in it attract a lot of history buffs. You can also stop by the Ulhas River and take a dip in its waters, before moving on. Most people like to explore its two elevated peaks — Manaranjan, at 3,000 feet high, and Shrivardhan, at 2,700 feet. The Rajmachi Fort, located on the peaks here, also offers an overview of the Konkan region. Rajmachi is an apt destination for experienced trekkers, thanks to coarse terrains till the Tungarli Lake region. By Road: Take Sion Panvel Expressway and cross Vashi, Kopri Village, Sukapur and Panvel East. Get on to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and then on to NH 4. At Lonavala, take State Road. By Rail: Rajmachi does not have a train station. The nearest railway station is Lonavala.  

FROM DELHI: HILL FORT, KESROLI, 158 KMS, 3 HRS AND 30 MINUTES
    Hill Fort at Kesroli dates back to the 14th century and is counted among the oldest heritage sites in India. There is a library inside the fort, where you can spend some quality time with a book for company. One is also encouraged to indulge in indoor games like chess, treasure hunt, carrom and the like. Neighbouring Kesroli are Alwar and Sariska, both rich in culture and heritage structures. You can visit the museums and sanctuaries in these two places after checking out the hill fort itself, which sits on top of rare, dark Hornstone Breccia rocks. Alwar city is only 15 kms away while Sariska Tiger Sanctuary is about 48 kms away. Siliserh Lake, located 25 kms away from the fort has boating options for visitors in the mornings and evenings. Kankwadi Fort, Neelkanth Temple, Pandupol, the monuments of Tijara, Jaisamand Lake, Bhangarh-Ajabgarh, and the hot springs in Talvriksh are some of the other attractions, easily accessible from Hill Fort.
By Road: At Dhaula Kuan, Take NH 8. Go Straight on NH 8 via Manesar. At Dharuhera, change to SH 25. Continue on SH 25 and cross Kishangarh, Ghasoli. At Alwar, Take SH 14. By Rail: The nearest railway station is at Alwar.
 
FROM BANGALORE: PUTTAPARTHI, ANDHRA PRADESH, 155 KMS, 3 HRS AND 20 MINUTES
    
Puttaparthi is the holy abode of the legendary figure, Sathya Sai Baba and a tiny locale, on the banks of the Chitravathi River, in Andhra Pradesh. Puttaparthi, once known as Gollapalli, has green fields which can serve as a relaxing break. Chitravathi River is a beautiful location, surrounded by hills. One of the attractions here is the Ashram complex, which takes visitors aback as it has everything that a metro can provide. Chaitanya Jyoti is a one of its kind museum that depicts the life of Sai Baba through multimedia presentation techniques. You can also attend a show in the Sri Sathya Sai Space Theatre, a planetarium with a capacity of 200 people. It aims to provide information about astronomy, physics, and mathematics to visitors. By Road: Get on to Bellary Road; continue on NH7/Yelahanka Bypass. By Rail: The nearest major railway station is at Dharmavaram.
