PC SPECIAL. ....This computer monitor makes a bold statement

This computer monitor makes a bold statement

If you are looking for a stunning display with good image quality, this screen is the way to go

The AO C PDS2 41 Porsche Design aims to challenge the notion that PC monitors need to be simple and boring rectangles. It persuades us that monitors can beautifully complement our PCs and anyone would be happy to have them on their desk.
As the name suggests, AOC has partnered with design house Studio F A Porsche, known for bringing contemporary and stylish designs to watches and cars.
While the design is exciting, on paper the specifications of the AOC PDS241 Porsche Design are rather average -a standard IPS 1080p screen with 60Hz refresh rate and a conservative screen size of 23.8 inches (there's also a 27-inch version -the AOC PDS271).
Price
This isn't a monitor designed to dominate the desk, nor will it appeal to gamers who demand high refresh rates and even higher resolutions. However, while the design is certainly premium, the price is far from it, at around $240.A nd t h at t empt i n g price goes some way towards making up for the lack of features.
Design
One area in which the AOC PDS241 Porsche Design has almost no peers is its design -this is an attractive bit of kit that will improve the aesthetics of pretty much any desk you put it on. The incredibly thin bezels and slim 5.2 mm depth gives the AOC PDS241 a wonderfully minimalist look. It is not uniformly thin, as the lower third of the body becomes slightly thicker to accommodate the electronics. However, overall this is an impressively thin monitor.
Performance
The AOC PDS241 Porsche Design is controlled by a single button. You press it once to bring up the menu, then press it repeatedly to navigate through the options. To se lect an option, you stop pushing the button for a few sec onds. This isn't an ideal process, but you will appreciate that AOC wanted to keep buttons to a minimum. Using the menu becomes a chore when you need to tweak the settings.
The image quality is good even without adjusting the settings, Contrast is decent, and antiglare coating of the screen means images look great even in bright environments
