Looking for a new phone? Do not settle for outdated tech when you can pick from the latest devices

If you are planning to change your smartphone anytime soon, you should explore devices that will be breaking cover in this month. Here is a list of smartphones that are likely to be launched in May 2016. Take your pick.

LG G5
LG's most advanced smartphone, G5 is expected to launch this month. It may not look premium, but it is the first smartphone to introduce the modular design. A small button on the left side of the G5 releases the main tray, so you can slide it out and swap in other modules such as Cam Plus module, Hi-Fi Plus, etc. Other specifications include a 5.3inch Quad HD display and Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB RAM.

Moto G4 Moto G 4th 4t gen
The Moto G4 smartphone is expected to feature a 5.5-inch display, a rubberised plastic back, 13MP rear, 5 or 8MP front, an octa-core processor, 2 GB RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. Besides, it will come with a fingerprint sensor and other security features.

Le Eco Le 2
Chinese tech giant Le Eco recently Le Eco recently announced Le 2 in the Chinese market along with the Le 2 Pro and the Le Max 2 smartphones, with the latter packing a whopping 6GB RAM underneath. Le 2 is an entry-level smartphone with a unibody design and is backed by a 10-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor. It is a significant improvement over octa-core Helio X10 chipset featured on the Le 1S.

Lenovo Zuk Z1
Lenovo is set to launch its latest Zuk series smartphones in India. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display, backed by a Snapdragon 801 quad-core CPU paired with 3GB RAM. It sports a 13MP rear and 8MP front camera with optical image stablisation. What makes Zuk Z1 interesting is the fact that it is supposed to run Cyanogen OS, as revealed in a tweet by Lenovo.

Meizu M3 Note
Meizu is soon expected to launch its latest phablet, the M3 Note.The phablet comes with a premium metal unibody design and flaunts a 5.5-inch 1080p display. The phablet is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6755 Soc with 2 and 3GB RAM options. The 16GB model with 2GB RAM has been priced around `8,200, while the 32GB3GB variant will be around `10,200, so it seems like the phablet won't go too heavy on the customers' wallets.

Huawei P9
Huawei is expected to launch its flagship smartphone ­ Huawei P9 and P9 Plus. The highlight of the smartphones is the dualcamera setup with a new camera tech featuring two `Leica-certified' 12MP cameras on the back. One camera shoots in colour, while the other is designed solely for black and white pictures. Both smartphones come with a metallic unibody design and a fingerprint sensor positioned at the back panel.

Moto G4 Plus
Moto G4 will be accompanied with a bigger and more powerful variant-Moto G4 Plus. While the smartphone is expected to boast a similar 5.5-inch display, it will come with upgraded camera sensors ­ possibly a 16MP rear and an 8MP front shooter. Moto G4 Plus might also get an extra gigabyte of RAM paired up with the same octa-core CPU.
