ENTREPRENEUR/STARTUP SPECIAL...IN SMALL TOWNS(5)

INNOVATIVE IDEATORS

The Indore-based company was spun off from Ideas Infinite in 2011. Dinesh Goel, who founded the innovation training venture Ideas Infinite in 2010, launched Innovative Ideators with Rahul Vaidya and Pankaj Acharya to crowdsource new ideas for companies. The startup organises highly focused online contests aimed at an audience stipulated by their client. “We can create a contest which asks just MBA students to develop a business strategy to increase sales in a particular segment with a certain budget,” said Goel, who has crowdsourced ideas for companies like Airtel and Britannia. The contest provides cash awards to participants and Goel has also helped companies hire participants who fit their profile. “For companies, the new ideas and high brand visibility among a specific audience are the attractions,” said Goel, who is now launching a dedicated online portal to crowdsource ideas. “With technologies like video-conferencing and Skype it doesn’t matter anymore where you are located,” he said.
