PERSONAL/CAREER SPECIAL..Time management through conflict resolution

Time management through conflict resolution
Living in the awareness of this delicate equilibrium opens the doors for abundance in every form. Human resource management, stress management, finance management, water management, waste disposal management... so on and so forth. Each of these resources are available in plenty, but nothing, absolutely nothing in this universe is available enough for wasting. And one of the things that tops the modern corporate list is Time Management.
A young corporate executive asked my mentor and friend in a gathering: "Krishnaji, how come you achieve so much and yet seem to have the time to enjoy everything? Talk to us of managing time?"
Here are the lessons Krishnaji gave:
1. Live in a clear mind-space. Use the process of self-enquiry and dissolve internal conflict. Inner conflict distorts your perception of time. It is incredible to realise how much time you have at your disposal once your mind is free of emotional clutter.
2. Make a clear assessment of the past and the future. Let the mind with total clarity and acceptance have a picture of all the past achievements and painful experiences. Also hold the vision of the future you have chosen to create. This will help you in sequencing your priorities. Internal organisation is the key to external organization.
3. Always know what you want. At the beginning of each year, each day or before the commencement of each task ask yourself - what do I want at the end of this exercise? Asking this question will enhance efficiency hugely.
4. Bring your choice into action. Never regret facing the consequences of your decision. Once you prioritise life, and you pursue your chosen path it could at times mean that you would loose opportunities in some other area of life.  Hold your ground. Don't give in to temptation or regret. Don't waste time swerving away from your focus.
5. Don't try to do everything yourself. Delegate, share... allow people around you to experience significance and power. Give them opportunities to bring their creativity to the fore. Help them in the process. People around you always like to function with minimal interference.  What they will however need is real time support and big and small doses of inspiration.
You are only as good as your team is. Let us not forget that teams take time, love and understanding to build. Do whatever it takes.
Look around, you will find all kinds of people - people who have achieved very little but have lived their life in a very hurried manner. They live complaining lives; they complain about everyone demanding too much from them and people complain that they give too little. There are others who achieve massively and yet find time for family, friends and themselves. They live fulfilled lives.
The prime difference between the two is a conflict-free mind.
