TECH REVIEW ............HTC One Mini

TECH REVIEW HTC One Mini
PRICE Rs. 36,790

The HTC One is a great looking premium device with a fantastic screen and amazing build quality. The One Mini wants to be like the One, but it just isn't and therein lies the problem.
It does have an aluminium unibody design, but with visible plastic parts on the sides (in comparison, the HTC One has no ugly seams). The phone fits well in the hand and even though its 9.3mm thick, it feels comfortable to hold and use thanks to ergonomic design. The 4.3-inch display uses a superLCD2 panel which is bright and sharp, but highly reflective, making it hard to view under direct sunlight.
If all this wasn't bad enough, HTC has made a number of cutbacks on the One Mini. You may not notice much of a difference with calls, SMS, social networking and even games. Even with multiple apps running, the phone offers smooth multitasking. HTC also chose to remove the IR blaster, WiFi Direct, NFC and MHL port. Thankfully, the phone’s autofocus is great and images have less noise indoors compared to the HTC One. Battery life was just under a day. But it all boils down to the price. Our main issue with the One Mini is the ridiculous price. It would be a great phone for 25k — so its priced 17k too high. Rather than buy this, you'll be far better off with a Galaxy S4. It has a larger and better display, better camera and expandable storage.
SPECIFICATIONS 1.4Ghz dual core, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, 4.7-inch (1280 x 720) Super LCD2, 4MP Ultrapixel + 1.6MP front cam, Android 4.2, 1,800mAh battery, 120 grams Unibody construction, gorgeous looks, loud speakers, usage performance Unjustified price tag, no optical image stabilization, no NFC, no IR Blaster, no MHL
