BlackBerry Z30
PRICE Rs.39,990
The third and latest handset from BlackBerry on the BB10 platform is here, and it’s their new flagship. The Z30 picks up from the Z10 left off and it’s bigger and better in every way. What’s more, it is priced less than what the Q10 sells for.
The Z30 borrows design cues from both the Z10 and Q10 — it has the same glass-weave back panel as the Q10 and the button-less, all-screen design ethos of the Z10. The 5-inch display is a super amoled 720p unit — a huge improvement over the Z10. It is brighter and has colours that pop; useful for multimedia content as well. Like the other BB10 devices, the back panel is removable — but strangely, the battery is not. Some of the unique enhancements on the Z30 include four microphones and a new antenna (it automatically adjusts according to signal strength). The separate HDMI port is significant — unlike an MHL port, you don’t need an adapter, just a micro HDMI to HDMI cable. Plus the device doesn’t need to be charging to output video. BB 10.2 has some very useful features too — you can preview messages on the lock screen itself, get instant notifications on the top of the screen and the new priority hub arranges messages automatically.
