DELL  RANKED NO.8 INNOVATIVE CONSUMER ELECTRONICS COMPANY

Dell is a computer and server company based in Round Rock, Texas, just outside of Austin. It has taken a leadership position in creative efforts to transform waste products into useful goods. Dell's boxes in India are printed with ink made from pollution captured from diesel generators. It upcycles used gold from e-waste into new motherboards in the Dell Latitude 5285 2-in-1 device as well as a jewelry line, The Circular Collection, in partnership with Bayou with Love. Dell has also worked with Lonely Whale and United Nations Environment to create NextWave, a consortium of companies dedicated to finding new uses for ocean-bound plastic. Dell’s XPS 13 2-in-1 laptop ships in packaging made with recovered ocean-bound plastics. Since 2012, Dell has recycled more than 73 million pounds of recycled materials into new products.
