In our experience, Xolo is continuously innovating with respect to their
smartphone offerings. They were the first ones to use a Broadcom processor,
the first to offer a Tegra 4 tablet in India and now they have launched
another unique device: Q3000.
The Q3000 is the first Android smartphone with a 5.7-inch, full HD display
in the 20,000 price bracket. In addition, it also features great
specifications — a 1.5Ghz quad core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a
massive 4,000mAh battery. You won't get these kind of specs at this price.
We used the phone for about a week every day — with day-today use, the
phone worked great. We saw no lag, were able to run multiple apps
simultaneously and play HD videos with ease. Most games also worked without
any issues except for Asphalt and Shadowgun, where we saw some frame drops.
The device has a matte finish on the rear which offers great grip. However,
the overall dimensions and weight are high. Camera performance from the
rear 13MP camera was impressive — it gave great shots in daylight and even
indoors the images were good enough to share on social networks. It also
managed superb full HD video recording. Audio output was clear and loud
from both the in-ear and external speaker.
The phone managed to last just over a day — we were expecting more
considering the 4,000mAh battery. Bottom line: no other device in the same
price range offers a 5.7-inch full HD display and similar hardware. If it’s
a big screen you want, you should also consider HP's Slate 6 Voice Tab
(roughly the same price). If you need better battery life and good perfor
mance, consider the Lenovo P780.
