GADGET GIZMO REVIEW................. Samsung Galaxy Grand 2

GADGET GIZMO REVIEW Samsung Galaxy Grand 2

Even with a 5.2-inch screen, the Grand 2 is pretty easy to hold and operate with one hand, and can compare with most 5-inch phones. The back has a matte plastic panel to avoid fingerprints, but it doesn’t feel premium.
The HD screen pumps out vibrant colours. It’s not easy to read in direct sunlight, and there is no mention of Gorilla Glass protection. However, the screen did not get any scratches in our tests.
For most games and even heavy multi-tasking, the Grand 2 is smooth. However, be warned that you’ll have to play high-def games at Medium setting, not High.
The camera outperforms competitors at this price, especially in capturing the right colours. But like most smartphones, you will get noise in your images at night and it’s not good enough to replace mid-range point-and-shoot cameras.
A special mention should be made of the Grand 2’s antenna, which picks up network in places where most other phones struggle to.
With over 5 hours of pure video playback and over 15 hours of usage on a regular day, the Grand 2’s battery life is as good as any other. Plus, you can easily swap it.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is a fine phone for average users looking for a big screen, good multimedia performance, long battery life, and reliable after-sales support.
