The EuroTrip
Europe’s
cities offer the best in luxury and entertainment to suit every traveller
Europe, as a continent, has some of the most varied
landscapes, vibrant cultures and uniquely stunning destinations to explore.
Grassy highlands of Scotland, snow capped mountains of Switzerland, wind
weathered coastal towns of Ireland and tropical southern locales of Spain
and Greece render Europe a medley of sceneries and flora and fauna. With
many of its countries having played a pivotal role in the forging of
history through the ages, Europe is rich in heritage as well. One can
explore the ruins of the ancient Greek civilisation, the rise and fall of
the Romans in Italy and even get a lesson in Ottoman history while in
Turkey.
England, Belgium, Germany, Spain and France are
among the countries that bring to mind the days when monarchs and royalty
were at their height and later on, when world supremacy brought about the
World Wars.
Much of culture, art, music, literature and
architecture found their birthplace in one European city or the other.
Today, this past has made way to modern cities of
technology and innovation.
Visiting Europe promises travel through time while
also appreciating this continent’s multifarious natural wealth. Read on...
BERLIN, GERMANY
MUST DO: Historic tours, nightlife
The capital city of Germany, Berlin comes with a
historic past and a vibrant youthful present. Go back in time when you
visit the remains of the Berlin Wall and learn about the city during World
War II. And smile for the camera at one of many of Berlin’s Photoautomaten
(black and white instant photo booths). Nightlife in Berlin is a 24 hour
long celebration. Head to Berghain/Panorama Bar, a former factory that is
the bedrock of European techno or one of the many other nightclubs across
the city. Try the Underground Berlin walking tour through World War bunkers
and Cold War shelters. While zipping around the city, don’t forget to try
the street snacks like the Currywurst sausage preparations.
