Use Femtoo to track changes to web pages
Femtoo.com is a service that lets you track changes to any web page, without you having to refresh it every few minutes. It not only lets you specify which page you’d like to track, but also what part of that page you are interested in. So if you want to track the availability of a product on an online store, the procedure would be as follows:
Create a new tracker on Femtoo, and enter the URL of the product
Select the part of the page that you wish to track; in this case the availability
Test if the correct content is being extracted (if you are tracking a number, such as the price, you can choose to treat the content as a number); if it is, move on, else go back to the previous step and refine the selection
You can create rules for when you should be notified, for example you might not be interested in being notified when the product goes from “Out of Stock”, to “Shipment Awaited”, but you might want to know when it changes to “Available”/“In Stock”.
Select how you wish to be notified. Femtoo supports a number of options, but the ones you might be more concerned about are via email and via chat message.
With a tracker set up, you will now get an email when the selected part of the page changes in the ways you have described.
Femtoo is a free service that allows you to create up to three trackers that perform up to 100 checks for changes per month as frequently as every 12 hours. For as low as $1.6 (currently Rs 80) per month, you can have unlimited trackers checking for changes 10,000 times a month as frequently as every 30 minutes.
