8 INNOVATIONS WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO FROM CES 2016
Excitement has been building
up before the world's largest consumer electronics show kicks off. We've been
getting wind of a host of new innovations that will be showcased for the first
time at CES. Here are some of the ones that caught our eye.
Cinemood
Preloaded with kid friendly
content, this compact projector has built-in WiFi and comes with an easy to use
interface. It has tied up with ToonBox for content and also give the option to
adding content via USB to the users.Capable of playing multiple types of media
(mp4, avi, mp3, pdf, jpeg, png), the projector has a companion app using which
user can control the projector as well as send video messages to be played. It
also has a built-in battery that can last up to 2 hours. It will be showcased
at CES 2016 while its pre-order will start on Indiegogo from March 2016.
Smart Jewellery
Martian has tied up with PC
Jewellers for making gold and studded smart jewellery which will be showcased
at CES 2016.
The jewellery will use
Martian's technology and we expect it will have features like one touch SOS
help, anti-theft and GPS tracking. Wisewear' also has safety bracelet (gold
& silver) with a touch panel to send distress SMS to friends in need.
Fonebud by Sunweu
Smartphone users tend to
carry around multiple accessories for their phones such as a power bank,
headphone or a Bluetooth headset. Fonebud will be showcasing its its new
product Fonebud Essential Plus at CES 2016 their all-in-one accessory
replacement. The compact device connects to your phone via Bluetooth and you
can take voice calls on it instead of using the smart phone. It has a built-in
5,000mAh battery for charging your smartphone as well as alerts you if your
phone is more than 10-me ter away from you. There is a built-in torch and it
even doubles as a wireless remote camera shutter.
Aumeo
The company calls their
product the the world's first tailored audio device. It sits between your music
player and your speakerheadphones and enhances audio output on the fly to match
your preferences. In simpler words, Anumeo enables you to hear the full audio
spectrum which you might be missing otherwise. It comes with an app that lets
you create a tailored audio profile for best experience and once you save the
profile it enhances the audio output to match your profile. It works with wired
as well as wireless audio equipment. It has already reached its crossed its
funding goal on Indiegogo and will be showcased at CES.
Modular speakers
While you may have heard of
modular computers and phones, modular speakers is the new thing. UB+ is a new
entrant in the audio segment and they will be show casing their modular speaker
setup at CES. Named the UB+ Eupho, these modu lar speakers allow a user to
easily switch from a single speaker to a large one with use of an external
casing. Moreover, these wireless (Bluetooth) speakers can also connect to each
other to deliver enhanced output from a single module. Another brand named Emotiva
will be showcasing their Modular Amps that can be up graded with additional
channels at any time due to their modular design.
Skreens
Skreens's new product
called the Skreen Plus 4 gives you four HDMI input and 1 HDMI out so that you
can connect all your devices to the TV with a single port. The differentiating
factor is that Skreen lets you view feed from all the devices simultaneously on
the screen. You can organize the display windows as per choice and switch any
of them to full screen any time great way to multi-task. The device is the
first of its kind to allow 4 HD signals to be viewed at the same time without
loosing quality and without requiring any extra hardware or capture card.
More Drones
Drones saw a huge interest
from users as well as manufacturers. At CES drones with new features and in
novative designs by vari ous manufacturer are ex pected. Parrot's disco drone
comes with a new fixed wing design for casu al users that looks smart and it is
loaded with sensors. Dji is announcing the Phantom 3 4k that can record video
in 4k resolu tion and has an extended WiFi link for longer range.
Smart luggage locks
A company called eGeeTouch
is expected to launch its new range of smart luggage locks at CES. The locks
use proximity sensor as well as fingerprint scanning for unlocking the bag
instead of the usual number dialscode combination. They already have a few
smart luggage locks available and an updated version of is expected at CES

offer dual unlock option use your phone as the unlock key using NFC or scan
your fingerprint. As fingerprint scanning has evolved over the years by leaps
and bounds, these locks are much more accurate in recog nition capabilities.
